As criminal defence counsel, I support the legal education for students in High School. The SLIK program provides a criminal defence lawyer, free of charge, to attend your Law or Civics Class in Simcoe County or York Region.
I will discuss criminal law, the criminal justice system, and how it can impact youths.
I have been speaking to law classes for over 10 years, providing an interactive presentation that demonstrates a person’s rights under the Charter of Rights and Freedom, as a new driver, and at school. I attempt to answer all the questions students have regarding their rights and the law, as well as discuss any aspirations they may have in going to law school.
